6th Annual Real Ale Festival

The Lions Club of Braintree, in association with North-West Essex CAMRA, are pleased to announce the 6th Braintree Real Ale Festival.

We are again intending to offer around 50+ different Real Ales, and 10 Ciders and Perrys. But this year we will have more firkins available, to ensure we do not run out! We are also planning a second bar and have organised a new large covered area which will nearly double our floorspace.

Opening Times For 2010

Thursday 17th June 2010 4.30pm until 11pm
Friday 18th June 2010 12 noon until 11pm
Saturday 19th June 2010 12 noon until 11pm

Diabetes Screening Day

The Lions Club of Braintree, in partnership with Mid-Essex NHS Primary Care Trust, will once again be offering free diabetes screening at the Freeport Shopping Village.

We will be testing between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 27th March.

We will also collecting unwanted spectacles and sunglasses and handing out message-in-a-bottle kits throughout the day.

Collection for the Haiti earthquake relief

The Braintree Lions will be collection donations towards the Haiti earthquake releif fund between 10am and 4pm.

Father Christmas at Freeport

The Braintree Lions will be taking Father Christmas and his sleigh to Freeport, Braintree for the weekend.
